My DLO on Saint Maximilian Kolbe!
Saint Maximilian Kolbe was born on the 8th of January, 1894. He was born Raymund, but changed his name when he became a Franciscan Priest. As a young man, Maximilian got Tuberculosis. In his student days, he started a Militia, a group that worships Mary. On the 1st of September, 1939, Germany invaded Poland and Maximilian Kolbe and the rest of the people in his Militia got put into a German Work Camp. There, they were badly beaten and hurt, even starved. Especially Maximilian. After that, they were put in another camp in Auschwitz, where Maximilian died trying to save someones life.
