This week was the first week we started to do our "basic facts" for 2020. Last year, I was working on stage 5 and had 6 for my basic facts. I wasn't doing good at both of them and I wouldn't do 6 a week like I was supposed to, I would only do like 3 every 2 weeks. At the end of last year I tried stage 7, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, the things I struggled on for it, I worked through and now, even doing timed I am getting scores I can be proud of. Some of the sums on Prototec Basic Facts Level 7 consist of Multiplication, Division, Converting Fractions, Percentages and Decimals and also Square roots and factors. I am doing well for the timed test as well. I enjoy seeing my score go up everyday, it sometimes is a little hard on timed but I get better every time right? I have nothing I would do differently about my Basic Facts! Here are some of my tests:
I hope one day this year to be doing level 8!
I am a student at Hornby High School. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note… some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.

Hi Lauren,
ReplyDeleteI like how you never give up on doing stage 7 and trying your best at it you will get up to stage 8. You will learn some of them that you've got wrong but keep up the good work.
