week 3 do now

Topic: Cat's are better pets than dogs.

I agree with this topic, here is why. Cat's are smaller, cuddlier and cuter. You don't have to put them down if they bite you and they're cheaper. Also, once they learn, cats poop outside and bury their own poop but dogs you have to pick up its poop like gross. Yea, that's my opinion.

Week Two Do Now

Topic: Elephants are the greatest animal of all time!

Elephants aren't the greatest animal of all and here is why. I don't know anything about them and they seem mediocre. All the do all day is walk around and flick mud on themselves (ew) and sleep. Like, how boring. Yea.

Week One Do Now

Topic: School Holidays should only be one week long

I disagree with the topic and here's why. Students are at school for ten-twelve weeks with no big breaks. It gets hard and stressful for students, and it would be better to have a two week or even more long holiday to mentally cleanse ourselves from about ten weeks of work.

I know this because just everyone says this including teachers.

Term 1 PE

Kia Ora!

In P.E so far this year we have covered these following sports:

Athletics (Running/sprints, Shot put, Discus, Long Jump, High Jump)

Touch (A Type Of Rugby)

Volleyball (Hitting the ball over a net and wanting to get a point through the other side)

Ki o Rahi (Hitting Poe to get points and then settle those points by throwing a ball at a bucket)

Football (Hitting ball with foot)

The activity I liked the most was probably Volleyball (not because I'm good at it) because it was easier than the others, and the activity I liked least was either Touch or Football; I just didn't like them because they were boring and didn't excite me.

I would like to improve on all sports because I would like to be good at them but sometimes I just can't be bothered.

Film Review!!

Kia Ora. This is a film review for the movie Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Our class watched this movie and now its time to review. Hunt for the Wilderpeople was produced in 2016 by the director Taika Waititi. The cast include Julian Dennison (Ricky Baker), Sam Neil (Hec), Rachel House (Paula), Rhys Darby (Psycho Sam), and lastly Rima Te Wiata which was Bella. The film is about a troubled child named Ricky who was an orphan, suddenly again misfortune happened for him and he got chased. My opinion on this movie was it was a dramatic comedy that was at a good pace, and it always left you on the edge of your seats. Finally, I think this film deserves a 5/5.

SEXXXY Paragraph no.3

 Kia Ora everyone!

For this week in English, we were re-going over our SEXXXY paragraphs, just to deepen our understanding of it. We got to choose from two pictures to write a scene review paragraph on. Here's mine! Enjoy <3

In this picture we see Ricky and Hector sitting together trying to hide, but what do you think they’re talking about?

The backstory behind this scene is that Ricky and Hector had just reunited and got seen by the COPS again so they had to hide. They didn’t have many options as they had to hide quick, so on a ledge was their best option.

Though there had been many times where they needed to hide fast in the rest of the film, so it wouldn’t have been too hard for them. I think this scene made the audience feel suspense, but the suspense soon went away when the dialogue about the Lord of the Rings came in. I have a feeling the director added this scene to commend another amazing film by a fellow New Zealand director, and also just for the comedy effect. This shot is an establishing shot because it establishes the scene and what's going to happen.

I like how the director added these scenes, because it shows how they develop with their skills and it gives interesting plot twists for the audience.
